Trip status that automatically move based on Trip Start date

Set it up so that trips can automatically move through the timeline and so that users can customize. Ie- add "Travelling Soon" that can be set 2-3 weeks before trip start date to track tripcs coming up soon as well as "traveling" and "traveled" automatically moved to those fields based on trip date.

I'm in agreement. It creates friction when I have to login just to manually move a trip to "traveling" and "traveled" status.
If you have a group trip with 50 sub-trips, this just becomes irritating.

Agreed! Would love if we csn click a button on the dashboard that allowed "booked" trips to move through category based on dates.
