It would be incredibly helpful to have a notification—or even a simple widget—that shows when a client email has been opened, including how many times it’s been viewed. This kind of visibility would make it much easier to track engagement and ensure nothing important is getting overlooked or lost in inboxes.

This already exists. You can find it by going into the email sent through Tern, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner.

This already exists within Tern. If you send the email through Tern, go to the Email tab (on the left) within the Trip, click on the three dots on the email in the upper right corner and it will tell you if your client has read the email, clicked the links, etc. It's a great feature!
