Include Insurance Opt-Out on Authorization PDF

When a client makes a decision on travel insurance Tern logs it and shows it in the activity log. It would be nice to have this included in the document generated by the CC authorization flow so there is an easy paper trail of the client opting out should proof ever be needed.

and have it automatically sent via email like the other authorizations otherwise you have no way of knowing it's been completed.

As you review this item, can you please look at requiring the insurance to either be accepted or declined before a payment is approved? (If we have turned it to ready). that may be complicated but clients can simply skip that part without having to make a decision and then approve payments. it needs to not be skippable if we turn it on... thank you

I think that tern did a good job of looking at insurance from the Legal point of view to halp poctect the advisor, But did a poor job of think about how the advisor will interact with the client and collect payments. It works it you have only one client per Itianary buying insurance but othwise not so much. this area may need to be redone.

Proof of Declined Insurance

Hi. I really need the fact that my client declined insurance to be a line item on the Authorization PDF. Where is the proof that I'm going to use if I get Sued? No judge is going to accept a line item on the "Activity log". I'm sorry but this isn't going to fulfill our legal requirements from our E&O insurance either. What is everyone doing to get around this? Please consider adding the decline/accept to the authorization PDF ASAP!

While I do believe (based on conversations with attorneys) that the activity log showing the insurance was declined would be sufficient legally, I would still like it to show. Having the client see it on their itinerary is a reminder to them that they declined insurance and could prompt another conversation about getting it, as well as be a reminder if something goes wrong that they actively and intentionally refused it.

I have an itinerary template that is insurance only that I add to the itinerary once it has been apporoved. It has an option box with the decline form i created. Then drop whatever insurance options into the option box. I have it shared it is titled "Decline Insurance" in forms.

Emerald Alpaca Tern could set up their Insurance Options that produces a form and shows their choice & yes it would be great to see it within the Itinerary. I like the option blocks and form.
