Additional Variables

With the need for us to have more efficient, and effective, automation emails, I would like to have a few other variables that we can use to create our best templates possible. I would like to see if a variable can be created for each of the following items:
Client preferred name
Client last name
Agency name
Group name
Trip start date
Trip end date
Trip type (cruise, independent, etc.)
Trip destination
Trip/booking confirmation number
Final payment date
Property/ship name
Supplier name
This information is most handy for emails like the booking confirmation, and any other emails that require us to enter large amounts of information that pertains to a booking/reservation. These would simplify this process and cover the most important pieces of information that we share with our clients.

Please add more variables like Payment due date, deposit due date. So many other CRM's have these. Tern is WAY Behind on these tags.

More variable options

It would be great if we had more variable options such as destination, departure or return date, flight info, etc so that we could automate more detailed emails without having to manually put in those details from the itinerary.

I would love this so much. I have Payment, Reminders, and other emails that I would love to automate, but I cannot as I have to go in and add each of these things to the email everytime I want to send it. The additional Variables would help so much. The Outstanding Balance is a must with the additions.

Xylophone gold Viper I attended the recent product launch webinar this week and I was amazed at how the deeply enhanced Agentic AI can now give us all of the personalization as we can think of by simply creating a new instruction, which is automated, to handle our needs. If you didn't view the webinar, you can find the video of it under Tern & Learn and it should be the 2nd topic down. The part about the agent automations that can deliver what we have asked for is towards the very end, just before the recap, but this can be the game changer that we have been waiting on. I submitted my post almost 2 years ago and there has been no movement on a response until now. I know that the webinar is to plug the release of Tern Pro, but it really gives you something to think about now.

It would be awesome if we could also do math with a variable. For example; we all need the trip start date obviously...but it would be great if I can standardize an email that says "Heads up you can book shore excursions 60 days prior to {trip start date} which is MM/DD/YYYY for this trip"

Confirmation Number variable

It would be a great help if you add a variable command {Confirmation Number} that can be used when creating email templates. Other useful variable commands would be
{trip start date},
{destination},
{last name}
{final payment}

I would love to be able to put some sort of shorthand code that would pull reservation numbers into the email for the client.

Email Variables
This is a two part request . . .
Request 1
Can we enable adding the six new Email Variables listed below?
- Travel Vendor
- Confirmation Number
- Cruise Ship Name
- Travel Start Date
- Travel End Date
- Customer Full Name
Request 2
Can we enable adding all existing and new Email Variables to the Subject Line?
Use Case 1
Many Users from Avoya Travel enter variables into the Subject Line to an Email for several reasons . . .
- Guests can see and mentally confirm the information with every interaction.
- Guests can find an email by searching for any of the variables.
- Guests with multiple trips don't get confused.
- Travel Advisors have context when a gust replies to an email.
- Travel Advisors can accurately and efficiently copy and paste Variables from a Subject Line of an Email Reply into another system, saving time and eliminating errors.
- Travel Advisors don't get confused with guests that have multiple trips.
Example . . .
User View
Subject Line: %travel_vendor% Confirmation %confirmation_number%, %cruise_ship_name%, %travel_start_date%
Guest View
Subject Line: Royal Caribbean Confirmation 245724, Icon of the Seas, November 14, 2026
Use Case 2
Many Users from Avoya Travel like to send the guest an email for Online Checkin, with the guest's credentials to complete that process . . .
Example . . .
User View
Reservation: %confirmation_number%
Name: %customer_full_name%
Ship: %cruise_ship_name%
Date: %travel_start_date% to %travel_end_date%
Guest View
Reservation: 245724
Name: Jamie Grau
Ship: Icon of the Seas
Date: November 14, 2026 to November 21, 2026

Very much needed and would also be helpful to be able to use variables in the Subject line not just the body of the email
